The Latest on La Riva
The La Riva 2020 presidential campaign stands in solidarity with the mass movement of millions in the streets demanding justice and an end to systemic oppression and racism. La Riva and supporters have been marching in the streets from Minneapolis to New York City to Los Angeles, demanding an end to police terror and racism. ...
Our campaign platform exists to challenge the narrative of the Democrats and Republicans who aim to divide class unity and undermine the collective power of the people. Despite all the resources and police power that the capitalist class has at its disposal, these past few weeks serve as a reminder of the power and collective strength of the people. Major victories have been accomplished, from the charging of the officers responsible for George Floyd’s death, to the cancellation of police department contracts, to laws protecting killer cops being repealed. These victories are remarkable, but it still is not enough. We must continue to struggle together to end racism, police brutality, mass incarceration and demand reparations for the African American community. More than ever we need to build a multi-national working-class movement beyond the elections on November 3, that puts people's needs before that of the banks and the corporate elite. We need a socialist United States. Gloria La Riva and Leonard Peltier are on the ballot in California for Peace and Freedom Party, in states from New Mexico to Louisiana to Colorado and more, for the Party for Socialism and Liberation, and in Vermont for Liberty Union Party. Join our campaign! Make a donation, help us with state ballot petitioning, host a virtual house party, hand out campaign flyers. There is so much we can do together to spread a socialist, fightback message! Vote Socialist!
